How Submission Brand Was Born

During a trip to Korea this summer, I visited Hongdae street with my daughters, exploring local shops for clothing. I stumbled upon some t-shirts with fun travel graphics on the back and a summer vacation logo on the front. As someone who creates travel videos for work, the design really resonated with me, plus the oversized fit and quality were spot-on.

When I returned home to the USA, I was eager to find more unique t-shirts that represented my interests and passions. But no matter where I looked, I couldn't find designs that captured the fit, style, and quality I wanted. With interests spanning travel, art, music, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, breakdancing, board gaming, rock climbing, and more, I realized it would be amazing if I could create my own designs.

So, I invested in equipment and experimented with different weights and fits until I found the quality I loved. I started printing and wearing my own t-shirts, and soon, friends and family were requesting custom designs. That’s how Submission Brand began—a passion project born out of the desire to create high-quality, unique t-shirts for people who want to express their love for their interests and the subcultures they’re passionate about.
